3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Garnet pour with a 1 finger, creamy khaki head. Aroma is roast nuts, toasted bread, husky grain, toffee, earthy plant matter (like sweet smelling plants cut down and piled up for a few days), caramel and light floral and herbal hops. Flavor is caramel, slightly astringent husky grain, earthy and woody hops, light toffee and more pleasantly decaying plants. Palate is medium body with a medium, blanketing a somewhat sharp carbonaiton, creamy, slick entry, oily, sticky finish. Pretty average scotchish ale.

The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium, watery texture, lively carbonation. Big alcohol finish. Thin body for a Scotch ale of this abv.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Good deep copper pour w/ a tan head that leaves a ring of lacing. The aroma is primarily dominated by sweet caramel. The taste is quite different from the aroma. It’s smoky & dry w/ the caramel kind of a soft undertone. A little bit different than the previous scotch’s I’ve had before but still a good beer!

2 year aged bottle, consumed while watching "The Naked Spur". Sweet toffee malt notes, light peat smoke character, mild bitterness in finish. Somewhat dull and plain, though not bad.

Flaske: Ravfarvet klar øl med et stort flot skumhoved. Ekstrem maltet duft med en stor maltsmag. Fin øl men lidt ensformig i længden.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Brown color, clean, with compact head. Light aroma, some caramel and an impression of bread. Correct body strength; lean mouthfeel; some caramel flavor and correct bitterness.
Just a boring Imperial Amber Ale. This beer didn’t capture the essence of anything.
