Copper-colored ale is medium-bodied and highly hopped. Its flavor is delightfully complex: tangy fruit at the start, with an assertive hop crispness and a long malty palate that one well-known beer writer has compared to the flavor of freshly-baked bread.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale malts, toasted bread, light caramel, earthy notes, grass, light citrus, decent enough pale ale, too many choices locally to get this very often.

From the pour I got a rich amber colored beer with a tall white head on top. The head has very good retention and excellent lacing. It leaves nice lace rings on the glass at each sip level. The aroma has an inviting mix of sweet bready and light caramel maltiness with solid citrus and herbal leafy spicy hops. There is a good solid hop character with nice crisp citrus and spicy notes laid over a study foundation of bready malt that matches the bitterness from the hops. There is a touch of caramel sweetness in there as well. The finish is long and slow with a good balance of hops and malt. Its palate has a good medium to full body and a firm yet yielding texture.

330ml bottle, pours reddy golden brown with a white head. English style malt, biscuit, a bit of cardboard, nice zingy citrus note but the malt flavours are the strongest. Finish is on the malty side of balanced. Carbonation lasting

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice looking hazy orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. The lacing was somewhat all around as it didn’t really show much uniformity towards the glass. It just kind of went all over the place. The smell had a decent amount of light piney hops that seemed to fade as the beer went down. The malts seemed to increase as the beer warmed up. The taste acted the same way. On the palate, this one sat about a light to somewhat medium. The carbonation seemed to be fairly well done as there was just enough harshness but still an inviting smoothness to round it all out. Overall, this was a pretty good English Pale Ale.

(US backlog 2012 - NOLA) 12oz bottles, kickstarters of a much-needed winding down session quickly escalating to Great Divide Yeti and then Old Grandad after being escorted home by a police car in the Treme. Simple and easy PA with that pleasant tea leaf/caramel taste and body going on, thinnish mouthfeel, crisp body and orange zest hops. Might be a 6pack choice for future East Coast road trips.

Bottle: pours a reddish amber with ample off-white head. Aroma is floral, earthy, with slight citrus notes. initial taste is strongly hop forward, slight bready/biscuit malt with sharp spiciness, dank hop flavors dominating. medium to light body it finishes dry and crisp with lingering bitterness.

Bright copper pour with a fluffy eggshell head that lasts. Earthy, spicy notes dominate the nose with some lightly roasted notes. This stuff tastes almost exactly the same as it smells. There’s a really satisfying bitter crunch to the lengthy finish. I’m a fan.

Bottle. I noticed after I bought it as a single that it had a January expiration date. It poured with a big head and a peppery aroma. It was overly carbonated. It is hop forward but not overpowering and pretty light compared to their other beers as far as malt. Overall a decent pale ale but nothing I’d go out of my way for.

Some citrus, some pale ale. Comes together decently. Finishes with light citrus sourness. Clear amber with good head and lacing. On tap at DC Summerfest in the VIP section I snuck into.
