COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Copper-colored ale is medium-bodied and highly hopped. Its flavor is delightfully complex: tangy fruit at the start, with an assertive hop crispness and a long malty palate that one well-known beer writer has compared to the flavor of freshly-baked bread.

12 oz. bottle poured to a Czech-pils glass displaying a hazed, orangy amber color, with thick, creamy, off white/light tan head foam, and curtainy coating to the lacing. The aroma was grapefruit, orange peel, a bit of sweetness, some dank grain & grassiness, and a touch of toastiness & caramel at the back. The taste was immediately astringent, a little watery, and lighter bodied than I would’ve expected, considering the hefty nose. Included was some tartness, and a hop bitterness that was very earthy, rindy, dry, and lingering. Only a decent amount of creaminess to the malt saved the taste from being abrasive, and out of control. Aggressive for a big IPA, but not for a 5% Pale, imo. Dry finishing, and a little beyond crisp.

Little suds but a nice amber color and a bit cloudy. Taste is a bit bitter than I would like but not bad. Light in the palate. - Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
