abcfan (132), USA Jul 17, 2008 Decent brew. Pours a deep amber-orange color with thin white head. Nice hop aroma of pine and fruit. Nice malty taste, very bready. Nice carbonation and lacing. Would drink again. Dickinsonbeer (2466), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Jul 3, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a mostly hazy deep copper, with a thin filmy head and some lace. Aroma is on the nutty malty pale malt side, similar to a dogfish head pale ale with just light earthy brittish hops. Flavor is mroe toasted malts, nutty, bready, lightly caramelized malts, and burnt toast with just very light herrbal and earthy hops. Clean and easy to drink. Not great, but nothing bad about it at all. Tessic (365), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Jul 3, 2008 This Pale Ale poured a nice deep copper colour with a very short lived rocky white head. To the nose there was scents of hopps, pine and grass with a splash of ripe fruit. First taste was very hoppy with stong flavours of pine and grass. Hopp heads delight. The finish was very acidic/bitter with the palate lingering with the flavours of pine. dmtroyer (304), Harrisonburg, Virginia, USA Jul 3, 2008 12oz. Pours amber/orange with an off-white head. Aroma is fairly subdued but I got some sweet malt, caramel, and a touch of dirty hops for good measure. Body is similar, but is delightfully well-balanced with malt, hops and medium to soft carbonation. This could be an everyday drinker in my book. Haslinger (450), Syracuse, New York, USA Jul 2, 2008 Bottle from the Smuttynose variety pack. Decent aroma with some hops and a little citrus. The taste is crisp and malty. The malt lingers on my tongue a little too long for my liking but overall this is a very solid pale ale that I would buy again
