3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft @ Novare Res Harvest Fest. Pours a medium to dark porter color with a nice rich two finger foam. On the nose theres a earthy light chocolate aroma... with a sip Im getting a lot more earthiness....black tea, dirt, wood, dark chocolate, cola, spent coffee grounds all brought to life by a nice medium to full bodied beer. Nice carbonation dries out the finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Barcade when we all went there for Eugueneís visit. Pours a deep black with a thin to medium yellowed beige to tan head. Roast, umami, chocolate, cocoa, coffee on the nose. Medium bodied, roast, earthiness. I donít really get mushroom specifically, but thereís definitely a lot of earthy umami going on. Long cocoa and roast on the finish. Very nice, lots of complexity, tons of rich and dark earthy flavors.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at the Khyber. Poured a dark red black with a fluffy tan head. Dark roasty notes. Dried earthy mushrooms. Charcoal. Tobacco. Not sweet. Not sour. Not bitter. Bit odd given that. Tastes quite clean and filtered. Body is right for most porters though reads a bit thin because only dark flavors are present. Quite interesting.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On-tap at the Farm House in Burlington. One whiff and you can really get a sense of the mushrooms. A thin black beer. Little to no head. Flavor is very earthy. Some coffee notes. Much like a mild brown ale. This really reminds me of Harpoonís Oyster Stout, with itís mineral qualities. A very interesting brew overall.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Sweet malty aroma, with lightly roasted malt, toffee, and light earthy notes. Malty sweet aroma, with a light roast, and earthy notes. I also caught a hint of bourbon even though itís not barrel aged or anything. Nice.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours like coca-cola with a thinner, browner head. The aromas are rich and warm. Slightly roasty, but much sweeter than expected. Filled with semi-sweet chocolate, cookies, and a touch of raisin. The palate is a tad thin, which is the only thing that keeps this from being a 4pt beer. The flavors are similar to the aromas and really enjoyably balanced. For a limited release, it didnít seem all that unique, but it sure as hell was tasty. If bottled, Iíd certainly seek it out.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pour is a dark brown with a bubbly brownish off white lacing. Huge chocolate aroma with hints of bark and vanilla. Mild notes of uncoiled mushroom. Aroma is cocoa, milk and coffee. Flavor is sweet and metallic. Aside from the thin palate this beer is phenomenal. Personal note: high tying due to obscurity

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma on this is very roasty, sour milk, odd. The appearance is deep brown/black, off-white head. The flavor is mostly roasty, chocolate, and oddly boozy. The finish is where it is least roasty, has a real alcohol burn, and is somewhat sweet. Medium to medium/hick in body. I thought I would like this more. Still pretty good.
