I never met Lindsey. He must have been a great guy because Smutty makes a very nice brew in his honor. They take a classic Kolsch and updated the style nicely. I had this on draft @ The Stone Church in Newmarket, NH on 17 Nov, 2012. Smell has lots of grain and fresh pale malts. Taste is real balanced with fresh citrus hops and lots of grain. The texture of this brew was creamy. The body is on the lighter side of Medium. Real clean and crisp finish. Not much bitterness but tons of hop flavor. I enjoyed this and wouldn’t hesitate to order again.

I knew Lindsey for a long time and frequented his place often. I even share a few brews with him outside of the Pepperland. He was a true craft brew advocate and turned many people on to the love of craft Beers. He will be missed. The tribute brew was cool on a few fronts one it was a session brew and two it was local sourced as much as could be. It was a good, easy drinking, crisp and fresh. Just what one wanted in a Kolsch, something you could enjoy a few glasses of while thinking about a good friend.
