3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 j12601 (5652) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - MAR 24, 2013
Pouring at the Saturday sessions of Extreme Beerfest. Pours a mostly clear amber brown with a large yellowed beige head. Malt and huge citrus, punchy earthy hops. Medium bodied, sweet and earthy, chewy malt. Thins out a bit, earthy bitterness. Nice profile, but could use a little more body, however for being about 4% it’s doing well. Gentle bitterness on the finish.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 swoopjones (4229) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JAN 25, 2013
draft at Coles, Buffalo. Deeper copper pour. rich caramel maltiness with mild resiny bitterness that lingered on palate. Not overly flavorful, easy drinking, decent amber that packs a bigger bitterness than most of the style. Just not a fan of ambers
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 thornecb (3647) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 19, 2013
Pours deep amber into a shaker. Off-white head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Tropical fruit and resin aromas. Medium bodied with sweet caramel and summer fruit upfront turning to pine and resin in the dry, lasting finish.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JCB (3808) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JAN 6, 2013
On tap at Sam’s, Durham. Cloudy amber pour, somewhat still but with a modest film. Ripe and raw nose, potent dry hops with a semi-sweet herbal quality to it. Mouthfeel is medium, could be a bit livelier perhaps. Fairly flavorful for the ABV, with hints of candy among the dry, leafy notes that tend to dominate. Not bad, would be very sessionable if available in sixers.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 blklab2007 (1620) - Connecticut, USA - DEC 21, 2012
Draft at the Gingerman. Pour has a brown color with a one finger off white head. Aroma has fresh wet hops, caramel malt, and some sweetness. Mouthfeel is light with low carbonation. Flavor has a malted body but this really showcases the hops. Citrus, mild bitterness, medium sweetness and a wet dank dry hop.

Brown amber pour at the Alehouse.
Aroma is dank earthy hop with some zippy citrus and sweet grass. Creamy, refreshing in the mouth. Flavor is bursting with grassy, and for lack of a better word herbaceous, hops and sweet, but not sticky, malt. Super Dank, earthy, and juicy. I like it.

750 ml bottle I purchased at the Brewery. # 14 of 1000. Consumed at cellar temperature. Also had a draft 10 oz. sample from a plastic taster cup on the day of the release. Thick fluffy head with lots of lace down the edges. Color is a deep amber / borderline dirty brown. Nose is dank, wet hops. Real Earthy. Medium bread malt backbone with a solid Herbal hop bitterness that lingers slightly after the sip. Caramel and grassy hop notes also found here. Drinks real easy. I would drink this again. But not going out of my way too do so. Slightly above average, lots of flavors for such a low ABV brew.

On tap at Capone’s. Poured an amber color with an average to large sized off white head. Floral, pine, citrus aromas. Very nice hoppy aromas. Tastes of citrus, some fruitiness, pine, and caramel. I wish the tastes followed suit the hoppy aroma.
