COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
ParadoX is a beer of the moment. It’s a session IPA, brewed with an experimental hop variety (01210, it’s really lemony) and a portion of New England grown malt. Our brewing staff has wanted to brew one of these for a long time and just about everyone in the company has been waiting to drink one.

Bottle shared at Sander’s place - NYC. Pours lightly hazy gold with a fine, foamy white head. The aroma has floral hops, some pine needles, basic pale malts, orange. Light sweet flavor with pleasant floral bitterness, restrained pine, hints of bread, citrus rind. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Very lightly resinous on the finish, further citrus pith, pine needles, restrained sweetness. Very pleasant beer.

Location: Draft at Blind Tiger, 4/8/13

Aroma: It is somewhat reminiscent of a saison, with some lemon, yeast, and lots of spice
Appearance: Pours an amber-orange color with a beige colored head on it
Flavor: The taste is a nice mix of the spice, hop bitterness, and some citrus flavors
Palate: The body is medium, it has an average carbonation to it, and a bit of dryness
Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty solid beer. It was interesting to try and a pretty cool experiment.

Citrus zest, tangerine, pine in the aroma.Flavor is drier pine hops followed by a bit of tropical fruit and a receding malty sweetness. The Smutty trademark hops finish is present. Drinks like an earthier, slightly more bitter All-Day IPA. I would love to see this in the year-round lineup, at least in kegs, as we’re in need of a solid, sessionable local IPA here. I think they could knock the ABV down a bit and they’d be golden. Aim for 4.2%?

Pours deep amber into a tulip. Tan head with medium retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Sweet caramel, toffee and resin aromas. Medium bodied with caramel and bread upfront turning to mild resin and grapefruit in the lasting finish.

From the 22 fl. oz. bottle. Bottle no. 296 of 960. It pours mainly pale yellow with a full fizzy head and busy carbonation. The aroma is a fine mix of pale sweet malts, earthy hops, and a lemon twist. The hops tend to grandstand more than the malts. The body is light to medium with a slight astringency. The taste begins mildly sweet with a moderate hop finish. Well balanced on the whole.
