Tap at Kickbacks for RBWG. Pours a full haze, glowing gold. Weaker acid cut foam. Nose is sweet seedy raspberry, strawberry short cake. Taste is really nice seedy strawberry, raspberry/strawberry yogurt, lactic acid, very tart and quenching. Zippy finish with sweet tarts tartaric acid going on. Yogurt smackdown.

At kickbacks! hazy straw color with white head. Straight strawberry aroma with grain cake. Slightly tart. Taste is very tart with strawberry and wheat. Very tasty I want for dessert every night. Why aren’t there more beers like thus.

Draft at VSK night at Blint Tiger back on 11/28/2013 with James, Streets, some others. Hazy banana pour, regular spotty white head. Nose is dry tropical fruit like mango, pineapple. Palate is sweet, not too much strawberry to be honest, but sweet fruit and light/airy/wheaty with some yeast. Good.

On tap at Sam’s, Durham, a while back during a tap takeover. Hazy golden pour per style, thin but lasting bubbles. Nice nose of funk, very young berries, and some lemon, a solidly conventional snort with a dose of fruit on top. Mouthfeel a bit on the watery side, but the flavors were certainly nice enough, with a bit more of the strawb quality coming through. Understated in terms of tartness and probably could be more complex, but I enjoyed the hell out of it.

A hazed golden amber weisse with a thin off white head. In aroma, a light herbal fruity raspberry mix with light corn husk notes. in mouth, a nice lactic smooth berry weisse, nice and smooth, but nothing special. On tap at Snallygaster DC, Oct. 13 2012.

Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks decent; a cloudy orange with LOTS of white head. Smells sweet, tart, and a little yeasty. Tastes like it smells with a pleasant strawberry presence. Good on the palate with a tart, dry finish. Enjoyable.

On tap, kegged 7/13/12. Totally hazy peach color. Good foamy white head, leaves some lace, good retention. Very smooth lighter carbonation, lighter body. Good strawberry nose. Nice strawberry flavor, some creme, little citrus. Nice tart taste, but not too sour. Very refreshing and easy to drink. Delicious, creative brew.

On tap at Churchkey’s Night of the Living Ales event. Poured a slightly cloudy straw color. Aroma was start, with some wheat and yeast chracters to it. Flavor was a little on the fruity side with this one, with some wheat and tart characters to it. Solid effort.

750 ml bottle, directly from the Brewery thanks to Sean and Amber. Hacker-Pschorr Weisse glass shows a highly carbonated hazy, yellow liquid. Nose is light berry with lots of citrus and yeast. Taste is much the same with nice bready yeast. It does have a “shortbread” texture. Some grain in the body as well. Some lactic acid with a nice lightly tart finish. The berry and the light funk in the yeast make it very refreshing. Body is very light and I understand why this was released in the summer. I enjoyed this very much. This was my 1400th rating!
