Things are kinda messed up by the fizzy body. Flavor is very sweet and malty. Tons o’ munich. Med body. Heavily sweet finish. Aroma of toasty malt, fairly prominent earthy hops, and noticeable alcohol. Fairly sweet beer with brown sugar and maple characters and medium bitterness. Thick, fizzy mouthfeel. A very straight-forward, strong double bock.
radiomgb (1920), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jun 27, 2005 Bottle. Amber-caramel in colour with a thin tan coloured head. Aroma was of caramel malt, cookies, dark fruits and brown sugar. The flavour was of cookie malts, raisins, some spice and pepper, minor alcohol, slightly sweet. Medium body, medium carbonation. Aroma of brown sugar and smoke. Very malty body with a good caramel hit and some nearly crunchy sugarness. It’s definitely sweet and so something to sit back and relax with.
