Commercial Description:
S'muttonator is a tasty mixture of German ingredients and good ol' fashioned New England tenaciousness. Our brewers take 30 hours to brew a single batch of this traditional Double Bock. Take your time and enjoy its rich, malty, and deceptively smooth flavor.

Pours a very deep amber with a fizzy head. Intense malty sweetness in the nose with a candied cinnamon. Things are kinda messed up by the fizzy body. Flavor is very sweet and malty. Tons o’ munich. Med body. Heavily sweet finish. Doesn’t really come together at all.

Clear ruby body with a tight, silky beige head. Aroma of toasty malt, fairly prominent earthy hops, and noticeable alcohol. Fairly sweet beer with brown sugar and maple characters and medium bitterness. Thick, fizzy mouthfeel. A very straight-forward, strong double bock.

Bottle. Amber-caramel in colour with a thin tan coloured head. Aroma was of caramel malt, cookies, dark fruits and brown sugar. The flavour was of cookie malts, raisins, some spice and pepper, minor alcohol, slightly sweet. Medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a medium bitterness, medium length.

2004 Vintage: I should rate it a perfect on the name alone... Dark brown color with a thin head. Aroma of brown sugar and smoke. Very malty body with a good caramel hit and some nearly crunchy sugarness. It’s definitely sweet and so something to sit back and relax with. Very enjoyable!

dark amber, a little cloudy, creamy head, lots of caramel malts is the nose, taste has the same, some brown sugar tastes as well, gets a little bitter on the tail, followed by some strong spices, not a bad dopple, but a little plain.
