Tap at Ginger Man. Deep ruby-tinted brown-black beer topped by thick tan foam. Aroma is loaded with a nice coffee/cocoa aroma. Flavour is also quite nice. Softly herbal/spicy with a nice roasty maltiness and a touch of minerally bitterness. It’s quite thin on the back but it’s pretty solid up front. Sort of a herbal/cola-like flavour as it warms up. It’s unusual in that it seems to become more bland as it warms up. There is a light cherryish flavour towards the back. OK.
