2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
pours a hazy orange-tan, with a modest head that diminishes to a thin lacy coat after two to three minutes. On the nose, yeasty with a little orange and sweet spice. Quite muted, but Iím drinking it rather cold. Taste: Also doughy and yeasty. Overly bitter without much life. Drinkable, but not hitting the spot. One dimensional.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Un-Muzzling Olde Muzzlehatch Ratings, #18. Vermont Brewerís Fest, July 2008, sample 11 (draught). As "TBD Blonde" - almost 100% positive this is the same beer, as I had the bottled version a few times from 2009-11 or so. Anyway it poured a hazy gold-amber with a bit of lasting head...lightly fruity but mostly yeasty (cookie dough, muffins) aroma, touch of apple...lightly tart, full-bodied, struck me as somewhere between the Belgian and English styles of golden, low-hop ales. Anyway nothing terribly exciting or novel, but hugely drinkable and while far from my favorite at the fest it was one of only a couple that I had seconds on.

Slightly hazy golden color, medium small head, decent lacing. Coriander and yeast aroma. Coriander, yeast, light malt and spices. Slightly sour, sweet and bitter. Light and easy to drink. Good for what it is. Enjoyed it. Worth a try...

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours light hazy golden with a small white head.
Smells of metal (bloody), light fruit.
Meh flavor. Not much to write home about. Sour, spoiled banana, wheat, funy bubblegum.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured cloudy, golden with a huge foamy white head that leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of wine, fruit and Some malts. Taste is moderately tart, is also quite fruity, yeast and spices are also present. Interesting beer, is a bit old and Iím not sure how much is that factor affecting the taste; but overall crisp and refreshing.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a tulip and a snifter. There werenít any significant changes in either one.
The appearance had a decent one finger white foamy over coating the top of pale hazy golden yellow to somewhat of an orange color. The head dissipated within less than about forty seconds and left an ample amount of sliding lightly foamy lacing.
The smell had a light florally coated earthy spices over top of a light sweet herbalness.
The taste had a light sweet floral behavior about it that had a light cough drop-like flavoring.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly good sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat harsh and pummeling.
Overall, this was not one of my more favorites brews by Smuttynose. I donít miss this one.

Drank from a 12oz bottle. Hard to describe; almost tastes of mushrooms! Not sure I get what this is supposed to be. An ale, with little malt nor hop bitterness, nor spice. Just cream of mushroom soup. Sadly, bought a six pack.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This poured a pretty hazed golden yellow with a fat head of creamy foam that lasted well enough and left a layer on top. Some lace. Nose is earthy, funky beligian, with a touch fruit rind from orange and lemon, a bit of coriander spice and a cracker malt that sports a bit of dry biscuit. Taste follows the nose all the way. Except it offers a touch of tartness and as the beer warms the fruity scent of white grape to sweeten and enliven it so that the second half of the glass is even better than the first half. The mouthfeel is medium light and a amply carbonated.
This beer is an unexpected delight. A nice sweet honey kissed malt presence with belgian and fruity drink that surprises you as it continues to change in the glass form earthy to fruity as it warms. I got this in the singles and I am going to get one fresh just to see how it is.
Animated and lively =)
