Light, tasty & full of character, our summer wheat ale is brewed with a combination of domestic and continental wheat and barley malts, lightly hopped & fermented with a Belgian wit yeast, resulting in a delightfully tangy & refreshing flavor. This beer is brewed for warm weather enjoyment. Bring some to your next picnic, barbeque or Frisbee game.

Clear yellowish gold, thin champagne head. Nose is clove, light malt, maybe a bit of lemon, some breadiness and sweet fruits. Flavor is clove, yeast, a solid malt presence leads into some dark fruits in the clovey finish.

12 oz bottle from City Market in Burlington, VT (May 2006), consumed a bit above fridge temp from a Weihenstephan weizen glass. Really pretty pour, fairly clear with a bit of bubbling but with a giant frothy hefeweizen-worthy topping that takes forever to dissipate and leaves lovely finely structure lacing....somewhat pungent, barnyardy aroma of manure and odorous weeds, fresh hay and faint hints of vanilla and overripe citrus fruits.....weird but oddly entrancing....soft, somewhat dull mouthfeel with mineralic bitter tanginess increasing throughout the generally moderately sweet, fairly dry body....a bit of honey and plenty of pale malts, nicely balanced wheaty sourness and lightly sugary-toasty barley makes for a pleasant if unexceptional summer refresher. Somewhat metallic and chalky to finish....appropriate level of carbonation. Another solid effort from a brewery that rarely makes mistakes...

Holy Shit, it’s been a long time since I rated a beer this new! The pour is hazy morning-urine yellow, with a lot of carbonation and a small white head. The aroma is of big spicy florals, citrus, cloves, banana, and Bazooka. The taste is very citrusy to start, with some hops, spicy florals, and soapy bananas. Medium palate.

Bright light golden color with a taller ultra-white head that settles to a finger of sea-foam. Light sweet wheat with a hint of orange and banana. Much closer to a wit than an american wheat. Light and crisp on the palate. Light wheat sweetness in the front, mild spice and hints of citrus in the middle. A fairly sharp bit in the finish that quenches and cleanses the palate. Mild malt linger is quite pleasant. A great american wheat, an average wit, but still a good brew.

Bottle... Clear, yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma delivers notes of banana, smoke and clove. Perfectly-balanced and spicy. Light to medium-bodied and fizzy. Finishes crisp and dry.

Pale golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is lightly floral with some citrus and light apricots. Grainy malts, light fruits (citrus and apricots) followed by a crisp hop bitterness in the finish and herbal notes.

Cask pint at NERAX on 5/3/06
This cask had chamomile and tettnangs added
Nearly clear/bright appearance is a dulled apricot-straw color, with a small amount of white head that clings to the edges, forming a ring, but also is retained at partial cover.
Chamomile is deep, heavily aromatic and just clean, crisp and very floral. Wheat and some mildly grassy hops come from underneath this note, giving support and length to the aroma. Light peaches and oranges from a very fruity yeast and just so delicate, while still being aromatic. None of the bubblegum and little to no banana character in the nose, translates to a floral, mildly sweet (pale malts and malted wheat) nose.
Light oranges and over-ripe tangerines burst about on the palate, with low carbonation but a strong, smooth, soothing texture (ample wheat). Light chamomile in the flavor, some definite soft fruit esters and a finish of warm, soft, honey-like malts and a touch of vanilla blossoms drizzled in orange liqueur. No alcohol and low carbonation, creating a tremendously drinkable (being freshly pulled sure dosent hurt), if somewhat simple summer drinker. Though it’s a Belgian yeast, I’m yet undecided as to whether I would consider this a "Belgian Witbier".

Bottle. Aroma of sweet fruity esters and I also pickup the smell of hot dogs! Weird. Thin but refreshing texture. Flavor of wheat malt, banana, and I definitely pick up some wit beer yeast characteristics. Clean and citrusy finish with a very slight amount of hop bitterness. Interesting. A solid summer brew.
