Light, tasty & full of character, our summer wheat ale is brewed with a combination of domestic and continental wheat and barley malts, lightly hopped & fermented with a Belgian wit yeast, resulting in a delightfully tangy & refreshing flavor. This beer is brewed for warm weather enjoyment. Bring some to your next picnic, barbeque or Frisbee game.

12 oz bottle purchased in a variety pack at World Market, poured into an imperial pint.
AR: Strong citrus notes that fade to lemonade as the beer warms up. Very much more like an American wheat than the Belgian Wit mentioned in the description.
AP: Delightfully cloudy. Lively bubbles throughout, head that sticks around and is slightly foamy.
T: Not a lot of taste here. About what I expected given that this is aimed as a summer-appropriate brew for "warm weather enjoyment." Sweet to start, with some finishing bitterness. I don’t taste the chamomile advertised on the label.
P: Lively carbonation. Some astringence in the finish.
O: I was pleasantly surprised by this brew. More complex than I was planning on.

355ml bottle. Super pickly, i guess its a witbier but a pickled one, about a month past its best by but that doest explain pickle.

Aroma: syrup, wheat, yeast. Appearance: clear gold, small, white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: getting very dry in the finish, yeast and wheat again. Overall: not my favourite Wheat Ale, lacks complexity. Pint at The Ginger Man, Manhattan.

12oz bottle from Wegman’s, West Seneca, NY. A hazy amber pour with just a ring of cream head; the aroma has wheat, yeast and a touch of honey; refreshing citrus taste; with some corinader spice to finish. A very pleasant summer beer, but certainly not in the style of a German Weizen.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 9/5/2014. Pours hazy/cloudy bright gold color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, chamomile, wheat, cracker, bread, clove, pepper, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, spice, and pale/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, chamomile, wheat, cracker, bread, clove, pepper, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy tartness/spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, chamomile, clove, pepper, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spice, and pale/bready malt sweetness; with good robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and fairly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a nice pale wheat ale. Good robustness, complexity, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spice, and pale/bready malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Summer beers ehhh. Light & drinkable I suppose. Mild aroma, ok pour, & not a whole lot of flavor. It’s certainly a wheat! Blah

Light lemon and yeast aroma. Mild hazy burnt yellow color with a persistent inch foam head. Dry sweet bitter taste. Just a touch of sourness in the finish.

This is a good summer ale. Pours a clear gold. Honey, lemongrass, herbs on the nose. Slight bitterness, herbal fruitiness, citrus. Nothing special, but very drinkable.

The body is pale and hazy with a straw yellow color. It has a nice tall white head on top that has good retention and lacing. In the nose I pick up only light hints of wheat malt and pale grain with some citrusy and grassy hops. On the tongue there is some light tangy wheat notes like sour dough bread, pale grain and dry yeast. The hops add light bitterness as well as some light floral, citrus, and grassy notes. The palate is light to medium bodied with a lively well carbonated texture.

The commercial description claims this beer is made w/ a witbier yeast but I am really not getting any of that kind of character at all. This is a plain old wheat beer in the American style w/ some chamomile added and it is also very good. It pours a perfectly clear orange golden. Its head is short-lived but leaves a nice pattern of lace as it dissipates. The nose has mild floral notes (presumably the chamomile), some citrus and a bit of baked bread. The best thing about this beer is it is just wonderfully drinkable. It it is light and dry w/ vigorous but soft carbonation. There is plenty of flavor but nothing too assertive and the use of chamomile is subdued and seamless. There is a good balance of doughy malt along w/ lemon and floral notes. To be honest, I was not expecting that much from this beer but it hits the spot on a hot day in a way few beers can. This is a well brewed, clean beer w/ a slight twist that works w/o being gimmicky. It is perfectly drinkable and flavorful enough to keep my attention, a very good beer all around.
