3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not much aroma to speak of. Short, white head that lingers. Pale yellow color; very light in appearance, even for the style. A bit of floral character from the chamomile. Tangy, but without the citrus notes that you find in many wheat beers. Decent hybrid of a German Weizen & a Belgian white.

Summer beers ehhh. Light & drinkable I suppose. Mild aroma, ok pour, & not a whole lot of flavor. It’s certainly a wheat! Blah

This is a good summer ale. Pours a clear gold. Honey, lemongrass, herbs on the nose. Slight bitterness, herbal fruitiness, citrus. Nothing special, but very drinkable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The body is pale and hazy with a straw yellow color. It has a nice tall white head on top that has good retention and lacing. In the nose I pick up only light hints of wheat malt and pale grain with some citrusy and grassy hops. On the tongue there is some light tangy wheat notes like sour dough bread, pale grain and dry yeast. The hops add light bitterness as well as some light floral, citrus, and grassy notes. The palate is light to medium bodied with a lively well carbonated texture.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The commercial description claims this beer is made w/ a witbier yeast but I am really not getting any of that kind of character at all. This is a plain old wheat beer in the American style w/ some chamomile added and it is also very good. It pours a perfectly clear orange golden. Its head is short-lived but leaves a nice pattern of lace as it dissipates. The nose has mild floral notes (presumably the chamomile), some citrus and a bit of baked bread. The best thing about this beer is it is just wonderfully drinkable. It it is light and dry w/ vigorous but soft carbonation. There is plenty of flavor but nothing too assertive and the use of chamomile is subdued and seamless. There is a good balance of doughy malt along w/ lemon and floral notes. To be honest, I was not expecting that much from this beer but it hits the spot on a hot day in a way few beers can. This is a well brewed, clean beer w/ a slight twist that works w/o being gimmicky. It is perfectly drinkable and flavorful enough to keep my attention, a very good beer all around.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass and a weizen glass. Obviously, the head lasted longer and was about three fingers deeper than what was in the pint glass.
The rest of the appearance had a nice looking hazy light golden yellow to orange color with glazed over pale look of the sorts. The lacing was somewhat clingy in parts but ends up sliding in both glasses.
The smell was kinda wheaty/grainy with a light fruitiness (light tangerine & orange) backed up by some sweet pale malts.
The taste was mainly the same as the nose. There was a decent crisp finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light all around on the body with a pretty good sessionability rolling about it. The carbonation seemed appropriately styled as there was a decent sharp kick that lead into a gentle malty goodness rolling smoothly over my tongue.
Overall, hey, nice one Smutty, I’d have it again if I could get it but it also probably wouldn’t be a go to all of the time either.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear as can be. Yellow color, sticky lacing. The wheat is powerful. Tons of it. Citrus, malt, slight hop, yeast, bubblegum. Good alcohol content and structure. Sticky and chewy palate. One of the few wheat ales I’ve really liked.
