Bottle at home. Pours clear gold with a small, frothy and bubbly bright white head, short retention that clings to the edge, light lacing. Aroma is moderate Pils malt, medium earthy and spicy Noble hops, faint DMS (cooked corn) notes, and no diacetyl. Flavor is moderate crisp Pils malt, medium spicy and earthy Noble hops, moderate hop bitterness, light cooked corn (DMS) notes, and clean fermentation with a dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation.

My Bottom Line:
This unfiltered Pils proposes plush cereals and herbal hops beautifully balanced in a bubbly and quenching mouthfeel.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A fluffy head of foam covers the misty straw blond.
-The mouthfeel could be a bit crisper or drier for my tastes.
-This must be amazing when super fresh and on tap.
-This reminds me of Feierling’s Inselhopf in its flavour profile, body and unfiltered rusticity.

Bottles.

Very nice German pilsener. Clean, crisp and refreshing. Good malt balance and not too thick. Enjoyable.

Yellow/gold pour with just a ring of white lace. Lemon and grain to the nose. Easy drinking with lemon, bread, toast, and slight grain for the flavor. Everyday brew here and enjoyable

12oz bottle. Really old ass bottle (best by 3/17/13) thanks to dmac! Pours a hazy light straw color with a finger and a half of foamy white head. Aroma of grain, lemon Lysol, and lager yeast. Fizzy carbonation. Taste of light citrus, lemon peel, sweet grain, grass, earthy hop bitterness, and yeast. This bottle was 8 months past its prime and was still pretty decent.

Crisp clean grassy biscuity pilsener. Effervescent, extremely drinkable, thirst-quenching even. The sometimes brilliant side of Smuttynose shows up again.

Bottle. Poured a clear pale color with a moderate frothy white head that lasted and had good lacing. Medium floral hop and sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This beer just met my expectations.

Slightly hazy pale lager looking thing. Slight metallic aroma without any skunkiness in there. Taste is a little sharp with the associated pilser bite. Alky presentation is not bad overall. Few manners but none can be acquired. Skummy pond scum for a head. Finish is acceptable for a sharp pilsner style beer.
