COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Take a break from the Sturm und Drang of modern life, with this elegant, refreshing pilsner. Our brewers created Vunderbar! with both feet grounded in tradition, focusing on authentic German pilsner malt and spicy Czech Saaz hops. The result just might get you to shimmy into your favorite lederhosen, bust into a quick schuhplattler and loudly proclaim, “Das ist Vunderbar!” Formerly known as Shortbatch #11

Pleasant surprise here. Didn't know what I was gunna get but I like it. Aroma has a faint Oktoberfest German smell and it is incredibly smooth. Nice pilsner taste on the backend ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33cl bottle. Leicht trübes hell goldgelbes Bier mit mittelgroßen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch staubig trocken, leicht grasig hopfig. Geschmack mild grasig hopfig, trocken, süffig. Okay!

On tap at this year’s Chicago Beer Society picnic, self served to plastic showing a lightly hazed, golden hue, a presentable layer of white head foam, and dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was soft grain, lightly floral, hints of grass, greenery, & lemon, with a typical but distinctive pils/lager scent. Light to medium bodied, with good carbonation, the taste added low bitterness, just a touch of tartness & tanginess that was slightly disconcerting, but a clean & crisp finish. A decent rendition of the style.

Poured into a pilsener glass, the appearance was a soft hazy burnt yellow with a sly transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace to fill a one finger white foamy rocky head that sustained for a good minute. Delicate lace clung nicely. The aroma starts off with some honey-ed sweet biscuits rolling into some sweet grassy notes. The flavor takes the previously mentioned aromas to boot and slide into the aftertaste with a sweet wet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a crisp sweet semi-refreshing sessionability about it. Carbonation rides light in the feel. Semi-sticky smooth to the touch on my tongue. Overall, nice German pilsener, pass me some bratwurst while I put on my lederhosen and want more of this. I’d have definitely have again.

Can. Hazy light gold with a tall white head. The aroma is lightly sweet and spicy. The flavor balances light bitterness with just enough sweetness. Lightly bitter finish.

Sampler at Hayseed. Pours golden yellow with a thin white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Solid grassy notes on the nose. Kind of grassy and lemony on the tongue. Finished clean. Nice example of style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A little spicy with cooked celery and grassy aromas. Light, crisp and finishes clean. A very good, sessionable pils.

Draft at Misconduct. Hazy pale gold pour with a runny white head. Light toasted blonde malts with some mild spicy citrus hops. Bread dough. Biscuits with lemon marmalade. Clementines. Dill. Thyme. Garlic shoots. Green grapes. Not wonderful but worthwhile.

Really a pilsner gusher, not happy! Lightly hazed straw color with a tall (duh) off-white head. Classic noble hops aroma and just a hint of lightly toasted malt. Light malt, bit of dough, slight salt and bit of dry grass. Has more a kolsch or kellerbier quality. 4/14

Not a fan of lagers and pilsners, generally, but this was a pleasant surprise. Hazy amber pour with a big, white head. Nose is grain and mild malt. Taste is well balanced and fresh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
