3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy apricot. Small but thick white head. Slowly streaming carbonation. Solid wheat aroma, bananas, apples, vanilla and soft cloves. Crisp and wheaty with a healthy dose of bananas and cloves. Thinnish body but quite nicely flavored. Refreshingly light body. Yeasty, citric aftertaste. Finishes tart, grainy and phenolic. A modest example.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Ho-hum. Yet another boring American Wheat. Mostly clear yellow beer with a small, quickly dissipating head. Some yeast in the nose and minor spice notes in the flavor. Otherwise watery and bland.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Typical clove in the aroma, crisp. Gets a little sweet midway through then finishes quick and bitter. Tin can like thin.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JAN 11, 2004 Bottled 8/02 drank 10/02: Pour dark murky yellow with a small quickly fading head. Slight spicy banana with a sour nose, thin watery body. Finishes quick, thin and a little sour. What a sad replacement for the Robust Porter in the Smutty mix 12-pack.
