2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle (12oz). Poured hazy yellow, smallish white creamy diminishing head. Aroma exactly like a skunky, honeyish generic macro witbier. Taste is also harsh, fizzy, almost metallic with scorched rubber notes - didn’t like it much at all, there was a strong marigold bitterness that just built and built to this one. Sorry, Smuttynose.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Couleur jaune foncé. Odeur subtile de miel et de bananes. Peu de bulles et de mousse. Mince en bouche. Quelques particules blanches fines se déposent au fond du verre. Effervescence assez présente, mais davantage en finale. Légère amertume en finale.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not as bad as many reviews indicate. Plenty of banana and bubblegum, but the wheat seems a little heavy and sour and weighs this down. Carbonation a little low. Some hints of apple and pear. Lots of yeast flavors. Not bad.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This one seemed like a misfit beer from the beginning. Labelled a hefeweizen. Sure, it had a light citrus and banana aroma (the only part that "fit"). However, upon pouring it appeared at least partially filtered with only a murky appearance. It tasted pretty darned hoppy for a wheat beer, more along the lines of a pale ale. In fact, the other anticipated flavors were smothered in the hops. A disappointing beer for one who enjoys even American wheats, especially in the summer. Pass on this one.

12 oz. bottle via trade with hopdog - Pours a light golden color with an ever so slight haze (filtered?). Small white head. Light spotty lacing. Has a nice yeast, banana aroma. Has a light wheat malt, banana flavor. Leaves a slight bitter after taste on the palate. Light to medium body. Not bad. Thanks Steve.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Piss like pale lager aroma and taste with only a touch of pepperiness on first pour only began to redeem itself as it warmed. Once it was warm it wasn’t really too bad anymore but truth to be told, I like my hefes cold and refreshing.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle: Pale straw, cloudy, moderate foamy white head, spotty lacing, virtually no carbonation. Somewhat wheaty nose, no real banana or clove, but moreso the funk you get with the American version. Slight citrus, moreso sour. Sour yeastiness, light wheat malt profile, but again not spiced at all like a German Hefe. Body and mouthfeel aren’t nearly as full as most Hefes, and luckily it isn’t that thin either. Clean finish, quite boring otherwise. Thanks Dan!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer from the smuttynose family is delicious, it pours a clear rich gold color. The head is a thin white lace that sticks to the side of the glass. The smell is of lemon and grass. The taste is smooth most prominate flavors on you palate are honey, lemon rinds, and bitter. This beer is something you would crack open on a hot day. It would pair well with a nice grilled shrimp or chicken salad.

on tap- Yeast creates a banana-cinnamon aroma. Flavor is creamy-peppery. A well done beer that didn’t lose as much as many people have described from the bottled and shipped version, just not to my taste.
