| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 20, 2008 Bottle, 22oz. It pours an almost clear, golden body with a beige head. Piney and citrusy hops dominates the aroma, but the brewer found room for a good dash of malty flavors too, beef-stock and some caramel, as well as some notes of alcohol. Sweet and malty flavor with beefstock and a good hoppy bitterness towards the finish. The bitterness in the finish almost overpowers the malty flavors. Full, oily palate. As expected, the hops dominated, leaving the malt in the background. The result is a really nice beer, but it’s not as balanced as I could wish for. (080301) ratman197 (3187), Arvada, Colorado, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 14, 2008 Bomber thanks to beastiefan2k. Pours a deep copper with a thin white head. The aroma is really sweet, with a malty and fruit aromas. The taste was at first really hot. It cooled down a bit, but was throughout quite hot. The flavor is dominated by a fairly sweet fruit, brown sugar, and perhaps whiskey flavor. There is also a light bitterness, with some hops. Not bad, and you have to love the label. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 11, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Bu11zeye: Poured a medium copper color ale with a medium size foamy head with some average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of sweet malt is dominating and reminiscent of a regular barleywine. Taste is also dominated by some sweet malt notes with some notes of caramel and toffee. Full creamy body is well done with some medium carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well done but I can’t say that the wheat notes were clearly discernable. changeup45 (788), Orlando, Florida, USA

Brownish color, slightly hazy with a sweet hoppy aroma. Moderate head and lacing on the glass. The taste is hoppy with sweet caramel malts and a bit sour. Bitter finish. A pretty good combination of flavors. The flavor is a little lingering. I liked it and I’d drink it again.
