Ungstrup (14754), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 13, 2007 Bottled. A hazy amber beer with thin orange head. The aroma is sweet hoppy, grassy, and fruity - especially oranges, as well as a light note of wheaty. The flavor has strong notes of over ripe fruits, wheat, and alcohol, leading to a slightly bitter finish. The alcohol leaves a slight burn on the palate. ThomasE (5179), Copenhagen, Denmark Nov 6, 2007 Clear orange, amber colour with a white head. Malty, sweet aroma with notes of fruit, alcohol and vanilla. Malty, caramel and vanilla sweet favor with a light light dry, hoppy and vague alcohol sweet finish. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Nov 6, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a clear deep amber body with a creamy beige head. Aroma of caramel, cherry, and hint of cocoa. Flavor of toasted/caramel malts, nuts, citric hops, golden raisins, and cherry with a somewhat dry, bitter finish. Lubiere (4464), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Nov 4, 2007 A hazy amber ale with a thin off white head. Aroma is more restrained than the BarleyWine, sweet and vinous, with light caramel notes. In mouth, a very hoppy barley wine, with light astringence and strong alcohol. A rich and warming experience. wcampbell (572), Central, South Carolina, USA Oct 28, 2007 I was a little drunk by the time I drank this one but I remember liking it. Fruity and wheaty with too much alcohol acidity in the flavor. Strong flavor. Drinkable and pleasant in slow sips. BrianK (190), Livingston, New Jersey, USA Oct 21, 2007 It was good for it’s price. Nice color, descent taste, and nice aroma. Nothing over the top, just a descent beer to enjoy on a regular basis. alexanderj (2213), Chino Hills, California, USA Oct 15, 2007 Bottle; Poured a hazy orange-amber with smallish off white head. Strong, interesting aroma; fruit, dark fruit, yeast, caramel, brown sugar, and honey. Flavor did not match the quality of the aroma. Alcohol was present, with some alcohol warming. Palate was fine. Flavor of caramel malt, fruit, a light sweetness, and some hop bitterness. All in all it was slightly above average. rocbyter (902), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Oct 5, 2007 Strong fruity aroma; apple, pear, white grapes. Hazy, almost cloudy color with a medium brown head. Smooth start to this one. Palate is thick and creamy. Mild alcohol bitterness to the finish.
