The mild aroma was malt hop. The mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt hops and vinous. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again. theisti (1654), Leawood, Kansas, USA

Aroma is dried fruit sweet malted barley and a bit of lively peppery hops. Taste is quite smooth, with the sweetness at the beginning, and nice mellow middle, and a strong bitter spiciness to the finish - then alcohol to the after taste. The wheat gives it a real nice, soft body. Quite a lot going on in this one, all nicely balanced and blended. A very interesting beer. Thanks Jon! SpringsLicker (2042), Tennessee, USA

This dark amber brew makes a fleeting off-white head.
Sweet and creamy texture that delivers a sweet malt profile. Spicy aroma that also reprises in the flavor and I too got the curry that has been noted by others at the tasting.
Interesting brew that hides it’s alcoholic level quite nicely. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA

Very smoth sweet rich caramel malt. a small hint of apple juice wheatiness. Small cinnamon spice. a bit creamy. Some fitting alcohol. Low carbonation, some viscosity w a stick tacky feel. A honey to caramel sort of malt sweetness. Rich sweet cream cut by high alcohol. Some spicy to wheaty notes in this alcoholic barleywine. A little toast in the dry alcoholic finish. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 19, 2007 Cloudy dark-blonde body topped by a little beige ring of foam. Unexpected amount of caramel, I usually only get that much caramel flavours from darker (copper/amber) beers. A bit buttery. A bit spicy although I didn’t identify specific spices. The beer is rather sweet and also well hopped. Floral and resinous citric hops. Alcohol is apparent. Nice effort although I prefer traditional barley wines over the more fragile wheat wines. I’ve also heard about grape wines but that just sounds weird and plain wrong to me. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

There was a sweet smell of hopps and malt. As you drink it you get an overwelming taste of hops but the nice smooth flavors of barley wine with a bready wheat finish. I like how they combined the 2 it makes for a good wheat beer. It is an interesting complex blend of wheat and barley with the booze well hidden.
