fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Nov 15, 2006 22 oz bottle thanks to JHop. Ruby brownish pour woth a decent head. Aromas were sweet and very barleywineish. Molassas, caramel, some plummish fruit. Flavors were similar up front, but with a bit of bandage on the finish. Besides the bandage, the flavor and hoppiness somehow reminded me of Arrogant Bastard....hmm... Not bad KariCupcake (214), Lenox, Massachusetts, USA Nov 13, 2006 The color was a darker gold with a fruit smell topping it out. Smooth fruity flavor. Good! siokaos (12), USA Nov 12, 2006 Not so much peppery as bittersweet. Very little tanginess, like a gingery tea. Pace yourself with this bad-boy. adrian910ss (1395), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 8, 2006 22 oz bomber. Pours an orange copper color with a medium sized white head. Aroma has a moderate alcohol presence with hints of orange peel, tangy tangerine, malt and hops. Taste is slightly sweet with alcohol presence. Pleasant burn as it goes down. Tangy citrus and malty hops also present. Very nicely done. Wasnt aware of the 11% alc content until I started rating this. Be careful, will hit you quick. bgburdman9 (822), Columbus, Ohio, USA Nov 4, 2006 Columbus 2.0 brought by ohiodad. Poured a cloudy reddish orange color with a little white head. Aroma seemed a little like an aged barleywine although i believe this was somewhat fresh. Pretty hot and peppery but i thought it was still pretty good. hiphops (280), caldwell, New Jersey, USA Oct 26, 2006 no head ice t color. smells malty and honeyish and raisiny with a sharp touch of hops. taste like a barley wine only crisp and hoppy sweet and bitter in the finish. nice i like. for 4.99 im in there like european style swimwear....
