| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 20, 2008 Bottle, 22oz. It pours an almost clear, golden body with a beige head. Piney and citrusy hops dominates the aroma, but the brewer found room for a good dash of malty flavors too, beef-stock and some caramel, as well as some notes of alcohol. Sweet and malty flavor with beefstock and a good hoppy bitterness towards the finish. The bitterness in the finish almost overpowers the malty flavors. Full, oily palate. As expected, the hops dominated, leaving the malt in the background. The result is a really nice beer, but it’s not as balanced as I could wish for. (080301) MartinT (5080), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2005 Updated: Jun 4, 2007The Lure: Hot alcohol movement within the candyish caramel pavement. Cinnamon-y spiciness emanates from the malt’s sweetness, to attempt blending in with the citrusy hops. Wooden hop resins bulk up the aroma, but all these components remain polite in the end.
The Festivities: Round maltiness gives plenty of candied berries around the diplomatic alcohol warmth. Hop resins develop from flavor to bitterness, accompanying the oranges and caramel sweetness. Citrus fruit and their tart splash might be evoked from the union of wheat malt and fruity hops. This one is maybe a little too young for now, but as it stands it’s a worthy wheat wine.

Chewy caramel and toffee notes with some cognac qualities. Finishes sweet and caramelly. JoeMcPhee (5056), Jackson Heights, New York, USA

Sweet aroma of licorice and anise, fat maltiness, stong wheaty spice and a touch of oaky vanilla aroma as well. Amazing body, smooth, creamy, body. Sweet and spicy malt flavour, a bit of pepper mixes well with the spicy hops and clean sweet malts. Awesome brew.
Tap at Collins Bar. Bright golden beer with light haziness and a thick white head. Aroma is gorgeous, sweet spicy pale wheat malt, a touch of bubble gum and pepper along with lots of bright orangey hops. Flavour is sweet but not overly so, spicy and wheaty with light bubble gum character and fresh citrusy hops. Lightly acidic on the finish with serves as a counterpoint to the sweet malts and spiciness. A bit of coranderish flavour as the temperature comes up. As quaffable as a beer this size is ever going to get. JPDIPSO (4944), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA

Plums and wheat dominate. Flavors match the nose, with some mild spice and vanilla oak also in the mix. A touch too sweet.
