omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 25, 2006 Bottled. Clear ruby. Raisiny malt aroma. Sweet and very aromatic with clean mouthfeel some light grassy hops. Rich Belgian style yeast almondy yeast character. Salty finish. Flavourwise it is very good, but it lacks in malt depth. oh6gdx (6343), Vaasa, Finland Mar 20, 2007 Bottled. Rubyish brown colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is grapes, redwineish hints and some alcohol. argo0 (6231), Washington DC, USA Dec 28, 2005 (12oz bottle, best before March 06) Medium tan head dissipates quickly, crystal clear copper body. Aroma is moderately sweet, candi sugar, some cinnamon, coriander. Taste is moderately sweet, candi sugar, brown sugar, caramel, cantalope, some cinnamon. Light-medium body, much lighter than I think of for a Dubbel. TBone (5116), Pori, Finland Mar 12, 2008 Draught@The Ginger Man, NYC
Dark ruby color, small beige head. Chocolaty and a bit sweet aroma, slightly spicey (ginger?). Medium-bodied. Yeasty, nutty brew with some spices in it (like clove). Does not quite hit the spot, but has at least kind of wintery feeling in it.
