COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named in honor of the doggy denizens of Brussels, this hybrid beer is a mix of what we love best in a big, roasty stout, but fermented with a Belgian yeast, which brings out a beautiful fruity nose. We set aside a portion of the batch to age in bourbon barrels to allow the stouts chocolate and caramel flavors to marry with the woods natural vanilla and toastiness. The final blend pairs well with both savory dishes and your favorite desserts.

Tap at Brew Kettle. Very dark pour with a small white head. Lots of roasted malts and chocolate - very good!

This one poured a medium to darker brown with a light tan head. Aroma was of bakers chocolate, light belgian yeast, and a very small amount of barrel. Flavor was definite belgian stout character upfront, very light barrel oakiness, and then a nice smoke component on the finish, OK.

Bomber. Nose lightly sweet but thatís quickly overtaken by the solid roast, light wood, Belgian yeast. Fizzy carbonation and a noisy pour mean a quickly-vanished light brown head on the black body. Taste is straight sweet, some sugar and light alcohol, beautiful warmth in the chest, blooms like a flower; crisp and dry medium body with tons of roast, low bitterness. Very woody with light spice and a good amount of yeast-driven berry, some vanilla and faint floral hops. The yeast isnít the main player but the show couldnít be put on without it, and thereís some flair there. Really energetic and masculine in taste, aggressively crisp and flavorful, yet with enough depth (especially in the heat/wood category) and style to enjoy sipping.

The aroma is smokey and dry with hints of coffee and licorice. The appearance is dark brown with a a small head. The taste is like the aroma and burnt. The palate is average. Overall another disappointing beer.

Dry and bitter. Aroma is medium but is solid looking with a beechwood toasted malt character. The bitter is mild but present. A winner ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at The Pony Bar. A stout with caramel, marshmallow, bourbon, grains, and a touch of herbs. The aroma is pleasantly sweet. It is flavorful and goes down easy for a big beer.

Pours black, lots of brown at edges, decent head fades away to a ring. Aroma lightly of molasses, a good bit of high quality prune, and some chocolate notes. Touch of faint booze. Flavor is a match, with a bit of vanilla on the finish. Pleasant beer, with less Belgian character than expected - but that is what made it worked.

22 oz bottle purchased locally poured into a shaker. Murky dark brown with a half inch khaki head. Just a small amount of lacing clung to the glass. Aroma of yeast and dark fruit. Rootbeerish flavor up front, dark fruit middle with a tangy bitterness. Light booze at the end. A bit flimsy on the palate. Not my idea of an Imperial Stout, more like a Foreign Stout. Very drinkable.

My valentines day present! Thanks Brie! This stanks like itís straight out of Belgium with a little funk and tons of raisins in the nose. The first sip is very chocolaty with soft carbonation and a nice (not too heavy) mouth-feel. The bourbon and vanilla flavors slowly creep up as it warms. The last few sips are like a chocolate bourbon... there is a nice spicy warmth from the alcohol. Yummy.
