COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named in honor of the doggy denizens of Brussels, this hybrid beer is a mix of what we love best in a big, roasty stout, but fermented with a Belgian yeast, which brings out a beautiful fruity nose. We set aside a portion of the batch to age in bourbon barrels to allow the stouts chocolate and caramel flavors to marry with the woods natural vanilla and toastiness. The final blend pairs well with both savory dishes and your favorite desserts.

Pours a very deep brown, almost black, with a full, foamy tan head. Aroma is mostly roasted malts, along with chocolate, bubblegum, and licorice. The taste has a good deal of caramel in there. Chocolate is still quite pronounced, but it isn’t as roasty as was my first impression. I get a little bit of a grape flavor underneath it all, which comes out much more at the end. The body is medium, while it has a full texture. The aftertaste is chocolate and grapes. This isn’t all that bad, but I do find this a little dull. I expected more from this.

Bomber. Pours a dark black pour with a rapidly dissipating java head. Nose is chocolate and malt with a touch of alcohol. Taste is bitter sweet chocolate, malt, fruity with some tastable alcohol. Finish is dry, bitter sweet and moderately long. Quaff Score 8 / 10

Pours dark brown with a tan head and sweet, chocolate aroma. Taste is sweet and burnt, of chocolate, fruit notes, caramel, wood, and roastiness leading to a slight warming, long finish.

Coffee and soft bitter chocolate on the nose. Jet black with a quickly fading head, but a lasting ring of light tan. Dry, savory, slightly metallic, some subtle dried cherry, burnt raisin, a little vanilla. Medium-full bodied, decently carbonated, some lingering roasty flavors.

Bottle (thanks to goodbyeohio)... Poured near black with a light tan head. Good roast and malted grains with a nice charred and brûlée-like toasted sweetness. Yeast lightened it up a bit towards the finish. Mild hind of barrel and whiskey. None the less, still great tasting beer.

Bomber big thanks to Phatdog1! Aged since 2012. Poured a opaque black color with a thin khaki head that lasted throughout. Initial boozy taste with a dry and sweet woody finish of roasted and toasted malts, cocoa and slight coffee. Low-medium carbonation, medium-thick body. Bad ass brew!

Very good - nice smokey malt aroma with dark chocolate and coffee notes. Even a light note of peat here with hint of burnt toast. Pours black with good mocha head and lacing. A hint of prune or raisin here as well. Finishes bitter - mostly along the chocolate line. Soft carbonation. Bourbon aroma is faint and very well integrated. Finishes with a touch of booze as well. Bottle.
