COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed for 600 years Purmerend 1410 is een levend, niet gepasteuriseerd, bovengistend bier. Willem Eggert overleed in 1417. Water, Pils-, Pale Ale-, Kristal-, Tarwe- en Zwarte mout, Havervlokken, Saaz-,Challenger- en East Kent Goldings hop en Gist.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2014 Creamy head, orange red body. Honey, dough, pear and some malts. Lovely mild bitter, easy to drink still. Especially nice mouthfeel. Has the taste of much more than 5,5%, in a good way. My surprise of the festival. (On tap at Botermarkt Bierfestival Haarlem) (Rating re-indexed)

Gift from my girlfriend. She bought it at a Mitra in Purmerend. Bottle. Pours amber / dark orange with a good white head. Great aroma with hints of fruits, spices and hops. Reminded me of an American IPA. Taste is sweet with the fruits again and the hops. Nice bitter finish. The hops taste wonderful (dry-hopped). The balance between sweet and bitter is great. Not to hoppy like an IPA. Pleasantly surprised.

Home 20110310 (33 cl bottle): A thin white good head and a dark briljant yellow colour. The aroma is malty, fruity (apples, peache, little citrus) and a nice hop bitterness. In the taste some malty, a nice sweetness which compensate the dry hop bitterness in the finish. Also a little yeast in the taste. Later a slightly sticky.

Bottle @ home, shared with DutchDrebus. Unclear brown / amber color, small off-white head. Nice some kind of fruity smell. Decent taste and good body and carbo for a beer of only 5.5%ABV.

This beer has a colour i like. Lacking a little bit in taste. Easy to drink. It’s a good beer, but it’s just not that special to me.

Countbeer (4391) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAY 29, 2014
Bottle: Served in a shaker: Medium sized white sticky foamy head on top of a hazy orange to amber colored beer. Aromas of fruits, yeasts, malts, some dough and some sweet wood. Flavours is malty, herbal, bitter, yeasty, bitter and some fruits. Aftertaste is a mix of malts, grains, bitters and hints of yeast and herbs. Low cabo, creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture. Bit boring but than again decent for it’s style.
