3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JUL 5, 2007 Bottled, thanks Papsoe! Hazy mahogany colour, small beige head. Aroma of plums and cocoa powder. Sweet with rounded mouthfeel and surprisingly slim body. Fairly soft moutfheel, alcohol is evident. Fruity, yeasty and choclatey, tastes top fermented. Light salty finish.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Opaque deep brown body is topped by a frail off-white head. The nose feels quite yeasty, especially for an eisbock!, and even a bit estery, it might actually be an ale for the fruitiness does not appear to emerge all from the malts. It comprises a certain banana cloyingness on top of the chery oriented richness coated in sugary nutella and buttered cookies. The yeast feels fatigued, maybe even autolysed as mild sulfury notes peak through. Rather weird example, a butter fountain that is quite unclean yes includes some fun flavours.
