Very interesting and classy one. Thick with some hops in the start and some raisins in the middle. Ending with some really ripe fruits, some alcohol and a mild sourness. Good one.

Bottle from Douberd - many, many thanks, Christos! I loved it! The beer pours out in a cloudy, dirty amber-golden-light brown colour with steady head and medium body. Aroma of intense hops and barley. Taste of fresh, but unspicy hops, wild flowers, barley, white grapes, spruce and nuts. Hints of straw and caramel. A very big and great beer - highly enjoyable.

Geur zoet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 ml bottle, pours dark amber, reddish brown with very small head. Wow, amazed by the aroma on this, comes across as a deeply caramel malt and piney double IPA in the nose, wow. Caramel and pine leading into a light resiny and piney finish that is well balanced. The barley wine textures come in after the initial hop flavour and the malt flavours are light and balance well. Great beer with a superb US character.

(mandarine ?,oranges ) Taste: Starts sweet fruity with caramel before going into a more bitter pine direction with a hint of spices , good long aftertaste. A reddish brown beer with a medium and beige head. The nose is strongly caramelly malty, lots of balancing piney hops, dark fruits. Great, US-style aroma. Caramelly malts and piney hoppyness dominates the taste, some fruits. Not too sweet, surprisingly evem a quite dry. Quite simple taste but that’s working. Full bodied, low carbonation, slippery to drink. Positive, US-style barley wine with strong hoppyness, simple but balanced.

Deep mahogany red, almost brown with a medium, thick, sticky, frothy, lasting, lacy off-white head. Smells of full deep malt with caramel, pepper, aniseed, berries, citrus fruit and mild alcohol. Raisin, biscuit, and leather. Medium to full oily body that warms the mouth. Light carbonation. Deep delicious sweet malty caramel taste that is well blacked and not too strong. Citrus and light bitterness on the finish. Deep and delicious. The alcohol is present and could be smoothed out in time. An excellent rich barley wine.
