Bottle at the De Molen July 2nd Tuesday tasting. Poured a clear chesnut brown with a frothy white head. The aroma is rich yeast malt and alcohol. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with yeast and lots of liquorice on the palate and well into the finish. A heart warming barley wine.

Clear dark amber, lasting beige head. Overripe fruit, raisins, quite some bitterness, rather dry, medium sweet. Would have liked this to be better.

Countbeer (5147) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JUN 9, 2013
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Medium to smaller sized, pretty vast and slowly changing creamy light vanilla ish colored foamy head on top of an almost clear to light hazy red orange to ruby ish colored beer. Looks good. Aromas of hops, flowers, some hop fruit, cream, barleys, light diaper, light creamy herbs and milk/lactose. Flavours of barleys, cream, some hop fruits, good and growing bitterness, light dry, light vinous, spices, yeast, creamy herbs, creamy hay and creamy grains. Aftertaste is a mix of barley malts, spices, dryness, grains and (bitter) fruit. Low carbo, soft creamy thicker mouthfeel, good medium to lightly fuller body and an oily texture. A lingering bitterness and a firm dryness, not bad but expected just a bit more from this beer...

Poured a reddish brown with a very small head.. Aroma of sweet dark fruit and caramel malt. Medium to full body, flavour as per the aroma with the red fruit coming across as alcohol soaked. Bitter but quite sweet end.

Aroma is barley wine ‐like with ripe fruits, caramel, some hops and hints of alcohol. Flavour feels like a strong ale with toffee, some fruitiness, caramel malt and slight boozy feeling. Not your typical BW.

Meggypiros színű, sűrű folyadék a tetején sárgás színű, krémes állagú habbal.

On tap at Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Inch thick foamy light brown head on a hazy ruby-mahogany body. Rich aroma of dried figs and rock sugar and plenty of fruity and malty notes. Full bodied. Sweet, fruity flavors with a bitterness that has a papery quality to it. Malty. Smooth and alco warm.
