3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. From Bottles, London. No date. Foams up hugely in a manner to suggest this is bottle conditioned. Marmite aroma. Cloudy amber colour. Marmite, cardboard and metal flavours with sweet dark malts and a hint of roasty bits. This tastes like an old bottle, though it certainly has plenty of life in it. Enjoyable and interesting. I don't know what style it is, but it certainly aint a Kolsch!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Big frothy head, dark copper color. Citric aroma with a hint of caramel. Full bodied. Hopbitter citric flavor. Slight tartness. Hints of caramel and butter. Hopbitter aftertaste. Excellent beer, although I doubt it's a Kölsch.
