Double Fistin’ IPA is an imperial India pale ale fashioned after the Pacific Northwest’s heavily hopped, strong IPAs. Unique in the U.S., this style contains large amounts of Northwest hops imparting a bitter and flowery aromatic flavor. The hops used to create this hop-monster are Columbus and Cascade. In addition to heavy amounts of bittering and post-boil hops, this beer is also given a generous amount of dry- hops in the conditioning stage. The alcohol content is 7.2%. This beer is a signature beer of Rob Denton.

On tap at the brewery - deep gold in color with a small head and some lacing. Nose is floral hoppy and the taste is a tangy orange. Medium mouthfeel and not too dry. Tasty.

This pours a dark gold with a 2 finger head of foam. Lacing is good. The smell is of grapefruit, some tropical fruit, and caramel malt. The taste matches the smell. Nice balance of bitterness from the citrus, sweet notes from caramel malt and tropical fruit. This is what I’d call a DIPA mild..lowish abv for the style which I could say causes it to lack the "zip" of stronger examples but, it sure is easy to drink. Nicely done.

On draught at the brewpub. The abv listed on their menu for this beer is 8.3%. Arrived a clear warm gold with a thin linen white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of grapefruit with notes of orange and malt. The flavor begins with malt followed by some moderate grapefruit bitterness. Dries out a bit at the finish as well. Medium bodied.

Pint on tap at the Brewpub in Jackson. Hop Heaven! Dark golden color with a thin head. Lots of bittering and dry hop flavor. Some citrus and floral tones. Not for those who like a well balanced beer. Hopheads only. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
