An American take on an English classic, with citrusy hops and a biscuity malt background.

On Tap at Bier-Thirty, Boise ID Clear deep orange/amber with a full thick and creamy sandy head. Heavy blocky lacing. Woody biscuit malt arom with some citrus pith bitterness. Fairly bitter but not exactly hop flavorful. Woody and a bit grassy. Dry crisp finish

On tap at bier thirty. Pours out a golden topped with a creamy sand head. Nose is a nice hop mix citrus tropical fruit and some sweetness. Taste is a nice tropical fruit hop and a little wood on the end. Pretty hoppy for a esb I really like it but not ti style.

Clear copper brew... Great long lasting off white head with sheets of lacing..Dry toasted biscuits... Citrus hoppiness is light bit present.. Not very authentic IMO, but tasty.... I would but this again.

Deep gold pour, white head. Hoppier than most ESB’s, some citrus and biscuity malt. Flavor is lightly bitter and caramel malt.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours dark copper with an average head. As I drink I can only think that their deScription is pretty much dead on ... Biscuity malt, citrus. A lot of people would sell this as an IPA, just because that’s what people apparently want. This is a sturdy, drinkable ale, whatever the stylistic label. (#4639, 7/1/2012)
