COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly: Indian Paintbrush Pilsner

The Monarch, eight point bull elk is the King of forest in the Tetons. Pilsners are the beers of Kings, originating in Plzen, Czech Republic. They are light colored lager beers whose flowery hop aroma is followed by a rich, malty sweetness ending with a firm bitterness. Mass produced American beers say they are of this style but have extremely lightened malt and hop characteristics. Our Monarch Pilsner is a traditional style European pilsner, brewed with 100% pilsner malt. Hopping with German lineage hops produces evident bitterness as well as a crisp finish. Monarch Pilsner is a signature beer of Cory Buenning.

Pours pale gold with a small white head. Light floral aromas and hints of citrus and grain. Decent body. Not bad for a pilsner, but pretty forgettable overall.

12 oz can pours a clear yellow with a bit of a white head. Lots of sweet biscuit aroma, slight earthy hop presence. Clean and crisp with a honey-like sweetness. Solid.

Pour out of can, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of earth, bread, biscuit into a bit of yeast, slight vanilla into a slight herbal note, slight grain. Taste was a mix of grain, biscuit, bread, slight husky note into a bit of vanilla, some mineral, touch of grass, finishing slightly bitter. Pretty decent.

12oz can. Hazy yellow-tan body, foamy white head. Kind of buttery. Approaching real Pils...but still needs some work. Has earthy Saaz notes, not much bitterness. Not bad, true-ish to style.

12 ounce can from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. This beer pours very clear with a light honey gold tint. A nice white head leaves a good amount of lace. The aroma is surfury Euro hops with soft malts and a hint of lemongrass. Those flavors are tasted. This is fairly dry but some honey is noted. Malts are pale and somehow feel kind of powdery. This beer seems to be filtered but still has a kind of powdery feel to it that is wet and heavy. It leaves some chalkiness on my tongue. I like this beer and give kudos to the brewers. A nicely done Pilsner! Nothing blows up the house or shakes the earth but a nice Pils should not do that. This is just well brewed.

Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Stout. Pours a clear light gold with a very robust white head and excellent lacing. Noe of light malts and floral and spicy hops. Medium body and very smooth mouth feel. The flavor starts out with chalky malts and is almost sweet and moves to a spicy and floral bitterness. The finish is quite crisp and dry. This is an excellent pils and very easy drinking and refreshing.
