very nice fruity aroma - copper brown pour with little head - rather plain tasting brown ale with hints of grapefruit

Bottle from Irishboy. Pours a dark amber color with a white head. Smells like a typical brown ale. Doesn’t have much to it for taste either.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2009 Bottle, special procurement. More on the amber side than brown. Slightly phenolic nose. Also a faint aroma of freshly cut grass. Nice malt flavors with good hops and good carbonation levels although finishes thin. Nuttty, roasty, with licorice in the finish.

Bottle shared by Daknole. Mainly clear amber with hardly any head. Slight smokiness in the aroma, also some huskiness. Juicy body with nice toasted malt flavors. Very nutty but thin-bodied. 5-3-6-3-12 = 2.9

Pours brown with a thin white head. Smells of caramel. Tastes nutty with some touches of sweet malt and light spices. Mouthfeel is a little on the thin side. Finish is semi sweet and earthy.

Aug. 2007 - Dark chestnut color, ok head and lacing. Flavor was mild caramel, but dry, lots of nuts and some bitter earthy hops. Dreadfully dull. I can’t imagine anyone drinking this other than to just try/review something new. Do people actually buy cases of this stuff?

bottle from irishboy: pours a clean cooper colour with a large off white head, some lacing. aroma is a week buttery sweet malt, little to no hops. flavour is almost non exsistant, just a small amount of the buttery malt and a hint of some bitter in the finish. pretty bland.

Miver (607) - Silver Spring, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 7, 2008
Bottle shared by Axilla. Poured brownish amber with a small white head. Aroma is slightly floral but mostly like a tomatoes??? I know… that’s weird. Taste is mild but really has some vegetable qualities and a bit watery. Finish is of bitter earthy hops.

ChainGangGuy (3682) - Canton, Georgia, USA - DEC 24, 2007
Appearance: Pours a clear, reddish-amber body with a thin, wispy white head. Smell: Weak aroma of pale and caramel malts and Nobel-esque floral hop hints. Taste: Pale malts with a hint of caramel and breadcrumbs. Faint grassiness arrives with a medium bitterness. Finishes abrupt with just a lingering trace of grass. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Just a touch watery. Drinkability: The flavors are rather muddled and ultimately produce a dull, dull beer.
