Bottle from Irishboy. Pours a dark amber color with a white head. Smells like a typical brown ale. Doesn’t have much to it for taste either.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2009 Bottle, special procurement. More on the amber side than brown. Slightly phenolic nose. Also a faint aroma of freshly cut grass. Nice malt flavors with good hops and good carbonation levels although finishes thin. Nuttty, roasty, with licorice in the finish.
Bottle shared by Daknole. Mainly clear amber with hardly any head. Slight smokiness in the aroma, also some huskiness. Juicy body with nice toasted malt flavors. Very nutty but thin-bodied. 5-3-6-3-12 = 2.9

Aug. 2007 - Dark chestnut color, ok head and lacing. Flavor was mild caramel, but dry, lots of nuts and some bitter earthy hops. Dreadfully dull. I can’t imagine anyone drinking this other than to just try/review something new. Do people actually buy cases of this stuff?

Appearance: Pours a clear, reddish-amber body with a thin, wispy white head.
Smell: Weak aroma of pale and caramel malts and Nobel-esque floral hop hints.
Taste: Pale malts with a hint of caramel and breadcrumbs. Faint grassiness arrives with a medium bitterness. Finishes abrupt with just a lingering trace of grass.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Just a touch watery.
Drinkability: The flavors are rather muddled and ultimately produce a dull, dull beer.

Pours a transparent copper orange with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of earthy English hops and some semi-sweet pale malts. Starts mildly sweet and grainy caramely malty with some piny hop presence toward a drier, bittersweet finish. Doesn’t really seem like much of a brown ale, and pretty bland at that.
