Snake River Pale is an American pale ale. Golden in color, it is brewed with domestic malt and plenty of Cascade and Columbus hops. Dry-hopped with even more Cascades. It has a citrusy hop flavor which is followed by a crisp, firmly bitter finish.

Grain and hops evenly fill the aroma. Very clear light Amber color. Mild hopped bitter but mellow light lasting bitterness. Light body. Decent standard.

Poured from can into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a one finger head of billowy white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, fading slowly over time to leave a lighter level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the brew is heaviest of a bready smell mixed with a little bit of a caramel and hoppy smell of some grapefruit. Along with these aromas comes some lighter notes of grass and a little bit of a floral smell. Taste – The taste begins rather bready with these taste being the bulk of the flavor. Right from the start there is a little bit of a caramel sweetness as well, which remains throughout the taste of the beer. Some hop flavors of a grapefruit flavor are present from the start with these getting stronger as the taste moves on. Along with these hop flavors, are some light grassy and floral flavors, which in the end, leave a rather malty and lightly sweetened and hopped flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the average side as well. For the mix of malt, hop, and light sweet the feel is rather nice and makes of a rather easy drinking brew overall. Overall- A nice easy drinking pale ale overall. I usually prefer a little more hop, but this one was very enjoyable just as is. This is certainly a nice brew to sit and sip over the long haul.

12 oz. can from Albertson’s in Jackson. Pours a clear gold with a huge white head that leaves heavy lace in the glass and settles unevenly. Nice, light, pleasing aroma. Bland, watery flavor. Florals, citrus, wet grass and hay, and metallic notes. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation. The first whiff had me optimistic - as did my experience with their fresh IPAs on tap - but this ultimately falls short. Easy hot-weather guzzler, but not much here.

Can to half-pint glass, shared with the Mrs. (courtesy of DrSilverworm via phaleslu). Looks good; a transparent golden orange with eggshell head. Smells of bitter hops with a bittersweet malty backbone. Tastes like it smells, but less balanced. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and bitter. An underwhelming example of the style.

12 oz can brought back from my sister’s expedition to Wyoming. Snake River’s American Pale Ale is a hazy red gold brew with a fine head of tiny white bubbles. Nose is scented very faintly of floral hops. Taste is a bit crisp but also refreshing. Floral hops, honey and a bit of a lightly roasted malt. The body is rather unremarkable and it finishes clean with just a touch of bitters. a nice ale, but i would like a bit more body and finish.

Clear golden pour with a single finger head. Aroma is bright and citrusy. Mouth is a little light. Taste is full of grains and cereal. Nice citrus component. Refreshing and easy drinking. Lace present.
