Deep brown with a nice tan head. Smells of dark chocolate, coffee and nuts with a little caramel. Flavor is smooth with lots of chocolate and dark malts and coffee with little hops. FInish is still smooth with a bite of bitterness.

On tap at the Lander Bar in Lander, WY. Pours a murky amber-brown with a decent tan head. Has a nice rye taste with malt and nut coming through. Aroma is mostly the same. Overall a pretty good beer, as it is easy to drink and pretty satisfying. One the best beers to get on tap at the Lander Bar.

Growler from Cowfish in Lander. Dark brown pour small brown head. Nose is toasted nut. Flavor has notes of nut, toasted rye and finishes a little acidic metal.

On tap at Cowfish in Lander, WY: Deep amber-copper. Crisp, easy-to-drink texture. Nice and bready malts with a sweet base (caramel, cocoa and molasses). Light bitterness. Grainy-bitter-dry finish. Not a bad session beer.

12-ounce bottle left over from WBC ’06. Big frothy body, perfect a-little-on-the-high-side carbonation. Rich deep head and plenty of lacing. Nutty and toasty attack, broad husky rye and mixed grain come along, crisp hop finish. Very well made rye.
