COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Created in the style of the light-colored lagers of the German city Dortmund, this beer is golden, light and refreshing. Though this beer is light in color and thirst quenching, it is still full in flavor. The main malt used to create this beer is imported Czech pilsner malt. In addition, Vienna and Carapils malts are used. To compliment these malts a nice bittering is achieved with Vanguard and Liberty. The starting Plato of the fine malted beverage is 12.0 and the finishing Plato is 2.5 giving this beer a 4.9% abv. Rolling Thunder Dortmunder is the brainchild of head brewer Cory Buenning.

Growler purchased at the Liquor Shed in Casper. It pours a straw yellow with a 2 finger head of foam. It smells of earthy malt, light sweet malt, some noticeable hop bitterness. The taste is of earthy malt, a light sweetness, some hop bitterness that gives way to more earthy notes in the finish. Overall a very crisp and refreshing brew. Very drinkable example of the style here. I like.
