COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Snow King Pale Ale is an American/English hybrid inspired by hoppy U.S. pales and uses very classic English hops along with U.S. hops in generous quantity. The new beer is available in limited-edition cans at local liquor stores and will be on tap at Snow King Resort’s new restaurant, Hayden’s Post.

Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a creamy white head that had good retention and left plenty of lacing around the glass. The aroma is bready, citrusy, oats, and some floral hops. The taste is very hoppy and bitter up front. There is also some citrusy notes in there as well.

12oz can direct from Wyoming. Snow king is a hazy light amber brew with a full head of tan bubbles. Nose is mostly roasted malt with mild hops. First sip is good toasted oats and just a touch of honey. Body is silky. Finishes with just a bit of the good bitters.

Pours clear golden with a small off-white head, some lacing. Aroma is malty, straw and dusty. Taste is malty, caramel, sweet with a bitter finish
Ok, but not for me.

Can. The pour is a dark golden color, capped with a finger of creamy off-white head. Thick lacing. Citrus, pine, and caramel in the nose… it’s not overly sweet, some hints of bready malt in there too. Clean taste is lightly citrus, floral, and caramel. Very smooth. Some tasty bitters in the tail. IMO this is a pretty decent offering in the style. I’m not going to go bananas over it or anything, but I’d drink this happily in the ski lodge all day long.

12 oz can given to me by a friend. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a good off-white head with excellent retention. Aroma is very malty, kinda shortbread aroma and some butter. Pretty slick mouthfeel lingers for a while, with more sweet shortbread flavor. Also oxidation is apparent when I breathe out. Drinkable, but I’m unimpressed.

12oz can. Filtered orange-tan body. Frothy, steady white head. Not sure what kind of hybrid this would be..Straightforward APA, maybe leans into the UK yeast a little more than most. Thin, hollow mouthfeel. Not a whole lot going on. A rather boring, bland offering.

It poured a copper color with an off-white head. The aroma was floral hops, grass and fruits. The taste was of oranges with some grapefruit. Thanks Hayduke.

Pleasant looking beer, but aroma and taste are towards the weak side, finishing abruptly with nothing to remember it by. This beer goes by quickly, easy to drink, but forgettable

12 ounce can from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. This beer pours clear coppery / amber and has a nice rocky beige head. The aroma is not at all big but has something like tangerine and malts. The flavor is similar. Fruit that is tropical and pretty nice but understated. After that I taste a little bit of apples. Bitterness is fairly pronounced. At the finish the malts almost disappeared and the feel got thin. This is almost a mix of a pale ale with a premium lager. It would make for a good gateway beer but it not a great offering.

Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Beer number two this evening. Pours a clean copper color with a big beige head. Light lacing. Nose is sour orange and some grassy hops. Medium body. Flavor show some light fruit, the grassy hops, some apple (as pointed out by Strykzone) and some sour notes. The finish is bitter and sourness appears at the very end. The bitterness dominates and pushes the flavors to the back. This is OK as far as it goes, but I wish for an APA it had more flavor and less bitterness.
