COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Snow King Pale Ale is an American/English hybrid inspired by hoppy U.S. pales and uses very classic English hops along with U.S. hops in generous quantity. The new beer is available in limited-edition cans at local liquor stores and will be on tap at Snow King Resort’s new restaurant, Hayden’s Post.

12oz can. Filtered orange-tan body. Frothy, steady white head. Not sure what kind of hybrid this would be..Straightforward APA, maybe leans into the UK yeast a little more than most. Thin, hollow mouthfeel. Not a whole lot going on. A rather boring, bland offering.

It poured a copper color with an off-white head. The aroma was floral hops, grass and fruits. The taste was of oranges with some grapefruit. Thanks Hayduke.

Pleasant looking beer, but aroma and taste are towards the weak side, finishing abruptly with nothing to remember it by. This beer goes by quickly, easy to drink, but forgettable

12 ounce can from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. This beer pours clear coppery / amber and has a nice rocky beige head. The aroma is not at all big but has something like tangerine and malts. The flavor is similar. Fruit that is tropical and pretty nice but understated. After that I taste a little bit of apples. Bitterness is fairly pronounced. At the finish the malts almost disappeared and the feel got thin. This is almost a mix of a pale ale with a premium lager. It would make for a good gateway beer but it not a great offering.

Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Beer number two this evening. Pours a clean copper color with a big beige head. Light lacing. Nose is sour orange and some grassy hops. Medium body. Flavor show some light fruit, the grassy hops, some apple (as pointed out by Strykzone) and some sour notes. The finish is bitter and sourness appears at the very end. The bitterness dominates and pushes the flavors to the back. This is OK as far as it goes, but I wish for an APA it had more flavor and less bitterness.

Can from Bier Thirty Slightly hazy light golden with a frothy short lived white head. Sweet floral hop aroma and more floral grassy hops in the flavor. Sharp IBU bite.

On draft at Nick Wilson’s Cowboy Cafe at the base of the Jackson Hole tram. Orders a clear copper with an off-white head. Fruity hop nose. Flavors of mandarin orange with a hint of grapefruit. Mildly carbonated mouthfeel. An easy drinking beer with flavor.

12oz can picked up at Brewforia Eagle over the weekend... Finally getting around to pouring it tonight... A generous 1" white head dies back fairly quickly.. great lacing.. the brew is clear light orange. The nose is pretty interesting with this one.. Hop presence is both grassy/spicy and fruity.. American hoppiness with the heavy hand for an APA comes through a little bigger with a sorta tropical fruit hoppy essence, but there is still a Continental hop backbone... very interesting.. Flavor shows a light toasty malt presence.. the hops are more present with the American spectrum... Fruity/mango/minerally hops make me think of the Flintstone vitamins of my childhood.. Pretty standard light body with good carbonation.. very drinkable.. this one has tons of complexities that I haven’t ever had with a standard pale ale.. I know that this was brewed for Snow King, but I hope the peeps at Snake River make this a year round beer... This is leaps and bounds better than most pale ales. It is not too often that I rave over a standard pale ale... but this one is special.. find it while you can.
