Jenny Lake Lager is an amber colored Vienna style lager. An authentic German lager yeast strain insures a mild profile. Imported German malts impart a rich, caramel flavor which is balanced with the subtle use of continental hop varieties. The malt forward, slightly sweet profile of Snake River Lager makes it a fine complement to pizzas and red meat.

From can. Pours a clear amber color with nice head that quickly dissipates. This is a really smooth beer that has a slight hint of caramel.

Pint on tap at IDA airport. Brown-copper with a small film of bubbles. Faint nose of caramel, dry grass and cocoa. Taste is the same but a bit more assertive. Light-medium body was a bit rough with carbonation and acidity, well balanced, and drinkably watery.

On tap @ Montana Ale Works. Clear light amber with a tiny head and visible carbonation. Aroma of bread, light toffee and some noble hops. Flavor is malty with light bitterness and a super clean yeast profile. Light body with active, crisp carbonation. Nice beer, very clean and refreshing.

12oz bottle pours an amber/orange with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel and toffee malts with slight yeast. Taste similar to aroma with some bitter hops. Not amazing, but enjoyable.

Bottle best before March 2012. Ordered in the mail from the brewery. Pours a solid amber color with a small white head. Aroma is musty with just a bit of hoppiness. More caramel, corn and copper is noticed. Flavor is smooth, but doesnt really offer anything interesting to me. I suppose that is the point of this beer. Toffee-like flavor is the most prominent character of the beer. The finish fades pretty quickly.
