COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Jenny Lake Lager is an amber colored Vienna style lager. An authentic German lager yeast strain insures a mild profile. Imported German malts impart a rich, caramel flavor which is balanced with the subtle use of continental hop varieties. The malt forward, slightly sweet profile of Snake River Lager makes it a fine complement to pizzas and red meat.

FROM NOTES: August 7, ’12 Poured from undated can to a shaker pint. A: Nice toasted maltiness with a little toffee aroma also. A: Pours a reddish-copper with a one finger tan head that slowly fades and leaves lacing on the glass. T: A light, sweet, malty flavor, with a pleasant sweet follow-through hinting of hops and fruit. P: Light to medium body, more carbonation than i anticipated. O: It’s heavier than I expected but a decent lager. My first Wyoming beer!

tap at SRB in Jackson. This is nothing against Snake River - just never had a lager I was impressed with. Boring beer - boring style

Poured from can into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a clear copper-amber color with a two finger head of white foam. The head fades moderately fast leaving a bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a bready smell mixed with a strong showing of caramel. Along with these smells comes some smells of hay and grass and a hint of harvest fruit. Taste – The taste begins with a nice caramel and lightly toasted bready flavor mixed with a little bit of harvest fruit. While strong upfront, the caramel gets even more potent as the taste moves forward, bringing on more and more sweetness. A bit of an herbal and molasses taste come at the very end, leaving one with a sweet, but smooth bready taste on the tongue. Mouthfeel-The body of the beer is slightly thicker then I was anticipating for a brew of only 4.8 % abv. (although not too thick) with a carbonation level that was rather average. For the mix of bready and sweet, with the light roasted tastes, the feel is fantastic and makes for a flavorful brew. Overall – I rather enjoyed this beer. It was flavorful and easy drinking all with a very modest abv. of 4.8 % .

Aroma - caramel malt. Appearance - the body is a clean mahogany, with a little nucleation. The head is around 1 1/2" and beige in color, and the head settles quickly. Nice lacing. Taste - caramel malt and very subtle hops. Palate - medium body, smooth texture, carbonation is average, and mellow finish.

Draft. Clear reddish amber with a lasting white head. Grass and caramel aroma, pretty nice. Nice caramel flavor, lightly sweet, old country hoppy finish. Medium bodied with a nice feel. Good for the style.

Crusty big bubble head takes a while to die down.. clear orange brew. Clean malts are the lion’s share of the aroma.. toasted more than caramel. Flavor is very fresh... inviting.. very smooth and drinkable.. toasted malts with a low earthy hop presence.. Great body for the style and again.. drinkable for days. Everyone loves Zonker, but the Vienna lager is my favorite Snake River brew.
