Bottle ordered from the brewery as part of a mixed 12-pack. Served in a pilsner glass. Pours brings a copper-red brew that is mostly transparent with some visible carbonation. Thin white head without too much retention power. Some spotty lacing on the sides of the glass. The nose brings forward a brew with a bit of oxidation along with some light amber malt and bread crust. The flavor falls along the same lines. There is some doughy malt sweetness and a hint of toffee. Very mild earthy hop presence lingering in the background. Medium body with okay carbonation and a bit of an off finish. Drinks decently enough, though I’m not a huge fan. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 03-04-2011

This brew poured a small head of mostly lasting white bubbles that left behind a good lacing and a transparent orange colored softly carbonated body. It has a smooth mouthfeel, a mild malt hop aroma and flavor.

(GABF 2004) Malty. I could not taste the use of good german/vienna malt. Average brew.

This has a strange aroma kind of like vegetable medley and whipped cream, its hard to explain. Well it was a bit carbonated with some sort of off taste. A bit malty with a bitter aftertaste. Nothing really stood out. Decent at best.

Draught. Pours golden orange with a thin frothy off-white head and excellent spotty lacing. Malt (straw, corn) and yeast (dough) aromas. Bitter malt flavor with faint yeast notes. Light acidic palate.

Um....I thought Vienna lager was supposed to be crystal clear...and amber colored. This beer was cloudy...with chunks o’ hops. And a touch too light in color imho. I might have gotten a fucked up bottle or something...the head went like crazy. Almost a gusher. Not clean enough for the style. Not enough pronounced malt flavor. just a ’so so’ beer imho.

i just dont like lagers hmm. It seemed to have some nice sweet malty notes but also a very bland yeasty note too. Minimal hops. Color was just a plain amber head was white with some retenion, a nice mouthfeel. eh

caramel body, small white head. sweet nose of caramel, munich and vienna malts: light toffee, medium pancake syrup and mildly dirty yeast phenols (vitamin b). at 6% it’s full bodied and syrupy with a nutrisweet flavor masked by caramel malt. low hop bitterness, flabby texture, watery finish. needs to be cleaned up some, dried out a bit and brought down to 5% or lower.

Pours a light, mahogany with a medium-thick, off-white head. Good head retention with some lacing. Aroma is funk of cellar and lager yeast. Flavors are lager and biscuit. Mouthfeel is light-bodied with a crisp finish.
