Cans can be good for beer, but they don’t look as sexy as bottles. Fortunately for Zonker it looks plenty good when poured. Super dark, big frothy head that slowly fades down to a thin tan cap. Overwhelming chocolate aroma when poured balances as hthe beet its for a bit with more of a ’beer’ scent. Definately easy to drink, but does have a slightly longer after taste than I might like.

Served on tap at the brewery. Poured black with a two-finger tan head. Aromas of malt, chocolate, coffee. Tasted like it smelled, very roasty, not too sweet, not too bitter. Very well balanced. Maybe a little thin but on a hot day it’s hard to complain about that. Medium amount of carbonation, dry finish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours black with a small tan head. Very nice aromas of coffee, charcoal and dark chocolate. Flavors are more of the same along with a slight bitterness. About the only negative I can think of is the body is a little thin, but other than that this is a very good beer.

A very roasty stout. This was one of the favorites I picked up in WY with the family over Christmas in 2013. Tons of chocolate and licorice too.

Pour out of 12 oz can, dark black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of roast, caramel, toffee, hints of earth into a bit of dark chocolate, coffee, hints of dark fruit. Taste is a mix of dark cocoa, roast, nice caramel, toffee, bitter nutty notes, finishing fairly bitter, dry, slightly spicy.
