3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 chronictonic (454) - Oreland, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 13, 2013
Black and opaque. Coca Cola looking minus the large bubble. Big roasted malt aroma with hints of milk / lactose. Big malt flavor that quickly blooms to a really nice roasted malt flavor. Finish is really acidic and dry though. If the finish were better this would be an excellent stout.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hivemind (658) - New York, New York, USA - MAY 12, 2013
Can from ABC Beer Co. Black pour, rapidly vanishing beige head. Lots of roasty choco malts on nose and palate; milky flavor mixed in. There is a definite sweetness to it as well. Drinkable for a stout, but with an appreciable subtle flavor profile of bitter dark chocolate and lactose. Not amazing but good.

Can. Huge thanks to IrishBoy for swinging by and personally delivering my last US state tick! Pours deep clear black with a medium creamy dark brown head that slowly dissipates with very nice lacing. Aroma is room filling roasty, coffee, lightly burned notes. Light to medium sweet, very dark roasted and coffee notes, some cigarrettes, only a light bitterness that seems more coffee/ashy than hops derived. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. This is a good example of the style, and at 6% a nice beer to drink mid-day.

Not usually a fan if stouts but this one I really like. Really chocolatey and burnt coffee tasting. Pours nice and dark an goes down smooth. All stout drinkers need to try this one.
