Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA May 2, 2006 Dark mahogany with no head or lace. Fruity and nutty aroma. Bitter hops and a good dose of caramel malts. Bitter and balty flavors. Again nutty with some accompanying fruitiness. Full bodied and a bitter finish.
BückDich (4497), Boise, Idaho, USA May 9, 2005 Sampled draught at Snipes Mountain Brewpub in Sunnywide, WA Nice amber ruby color, tan head, good lacing. Nose of light hop and rich toffee/caramel. Massive body vs. ABV ratio. Finishes a bit bitter but sweet and rich. Nice. Oakes (6793), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 8, 2005 Bright dark amber colour. Fruity, slightly toffeeish aroma. Fairly toffeeish - there’s a lot of crystal malt in here. HInts of caramel. Very chewy finish. A real homage to crystal malt.
