jasonp (1423), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA Jun 8, 2008 Sampled at Taphouse Grill Seattle. Pours a light copper with a white head. Only a moderate floral hop nose. Flavor is mostly a pale malt base with a touch of caramel then grapefruity, citrusy hops, ample bitterness. Medium bodied, perhaps a touch thin with moderate carbonation. Ok, but not bursting with hop flavor - could use more "oomph". bb (1950), Martinez, California, USA May 1, 2008 Bottle. Somewhat hazy dark amber with a cream-colored head. Nice cascade aroma. Nice citrus, slight earth, floral, pine flavor with backing malt. Medium body. Decent bitterness. Lingering lemon/grapefruit with slight pine and slight floral notes. Goodgrief (993), Middletown, Delaware, USA Mar 10, 2008 Aug. 2007 - Thanks to slob from Stateline for sharing a sample. Orange amber color with small head on my sample size. Aroma was caramel and bready malts. The flavor was caramel malts, floral hops and some bread. Dry mouthfeel. Well balanced beer. Above average all the way around. scrizzz (452), kirkland, Washington, USA Feb 15, 2008 Stunning golden brown contains sediment perfectly suspended in the tall glass at every level. fluffy head condensed to a creamy ring around the rim. grapefruit hop aroma with other citrus notes. earthy hops up front, dissapates quickly to a dirty sharp earthy finish. the malt is balanced in flavor, but not in mouthfeel, light in body. robforbes (618), Bremerton, Washington, USA Dec 7, 2007 pours a golden amber with a small white head, wonderful lacing.
