Small, offwhite head with a fair retention, decent lace. Lightly hazy copper/amber colored brew. Restrained nose of pine, light citrus and caramel malts. Flowery? Med/light bodied, somewhat lifeless, low carbonation. Layed back malt flavors, light fruitiness and citrus notes. Finish is fairly dry, lightly fruity and fast. Bomber received in trade from SDbruboy, thanks Cliff!

Beer shared by Slob. Poured an orange amber type color, decent initial head, ok lacing too. The aroma was caramel malts and some floral aspects. Flavor was caramel, amber type malts, floral hopping along with some herbal qualities. A simple, somewhat weak (dare I say watery?), at least boring, example of the style, drinkable, in need of more flavor and character. Thanks, Bert, always fun no matter the beer.

A gift from my friend Jason, who’s cousin received it on a flight! In a bomber, Nice! Mellow drinker for an IPA, but this sample was fresh, and lots of nice hop flavor, with that said, its an easy drinker, without a "Hopbomb" flavor to it, very balanced, and enjoyable, Thanks Jay!

This draft brew from the Oregon Brewers festival poured a head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a hazy no visible carbonation orange brown colored body. The mild aroma was hoppy and floral. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of crisp hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

Amber in color the light hops where funny for the aroma. The beer had a very light malt build that did not help the hops. This was a weak IPA flavor.

Floral hop aroma backed by caramel malt. Something of an apricot color with a white head that filmed while lacing strangely. Medium bodied, almost creamy. Mild carbonation. Floral hop, maybe a bit of citrus, with mild caramel sweetness. As the sweetness goes, the finish is hop, hop, hop. This is great.

I drank this beer in Bert Grant’s pub. He is the godfather of microbrews. A scientist and contractor for major breweries, he petitioned to repeal old prohibition laws prohibiting breweries from having a tap room. He is said to have carried a vial of hop oil around with him for the weaker beers he drank.

Bottle sampled on 8/5/06: Pours a hazy copper bronze with a big, clingy frothy and over-carbonated cream-colored head. Fresh piny, resiny hoppy aroma has a touch of drier pale maltiness. Body starts with a foamy, lightly sweet dry malty character turning more earthy and bitter toward the crisp finish. A decent IPA, done fairly true to style.

I thought this IPA was out of control. Mabye because I haven’t had an IPA in a while, but don’t get me wrong I love IPAs. WAY too hoppy even for an IPA, I couldn’t taste anything but the floral - piney-citrus hops. This was right up there with the hoppiest beers Ive ever had, not exactly my cup of tea, but hopheads go nuts, youll love it.

22 oz bottle. Good initial hit of hops, but it’s an unbalanced brew. Rather than concentrating on the balancing of hops, too much malty/caramel accent to it. Good, but not great.
