Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 8, 2005 Amber colour. Woody, slightly grapefruity aroma. Flavour is mainly grapefruit, wood and black currant, with a light underpinning of pale malt sweetness. argo0 (6167), Washington DC, USA Jul 27, 2004 (bottle) Beige head, clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, floral. Taste is medium sweet, floral/grapefruit. Watery, light-medium body. Seems more like an APA. CaptainCougar (4633), Rockville, Maryland, USA Mar 12, 2007 Bottle sampled on 8/5/06: Pours a hazy copper bronze with a big, clingy frothy and over-carbonated cream-colored head. Fresh piny, resiny hoppy aroma has a touch of drier pale maltiness. Body starts with a foamy, lightly sweet dry malty character turning more earthy and bitter toward the crisp finish. A decent IPA, done fairly true to style. hopdog (4552), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 19, 2006 22oz bottle. Poured a deeper and cloudy amber color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of light caramel, floral, and some citrus. Also a little on the earthy side. Tastes of grapefruit, caramel, and citrus. Decent enough balance for an IPA. Lacing left on the glass. BückDich (4540), Boise, Idaho, USA May 9, 2005 Sampled draught at Snipes Mountain Brewpub in Sunnywide, WA Light hazy gold, nice head with adequate lacing. Nose of piney earthy hops, a bit harsh with bitter resins in the nose. Nice balance in the flavor though. Finishes herbally, I liked what was going on here.
