Dark brown in color hazy with a thin head. Sour pumpkin aroma light with cherries is what I get. The flavor was pumpkin and mossy like. Very interesting beer sour qualities they where light there is also a tartness in the finish of this beer. Odd beer for the night but awesome.

WABL Anniversary party. On nitro. Citrus tart and oaky nose, some young raspberry too. Dark moussey brown, creamy body in the glass. Richly tart, little citrus rind for character. Nutty hazelnut base, sour middle overpowers anything pumpkin or spiced, I missed it.

On tap at Elysian’s Great Pumpkin Fest (Oct. 2010). Colour... dark brown with no head. Nose... broiled squash and pie spice. Palate... thick, somewhat chewy, bitter, roasty, some general baked squash flavour, dark chocolate and a long roasty finish.

Headless muddled black body. Roasty nose full of black malts and enticing. Thick roasty body. A solid roasty porter, but no discernable pumpkin.

On tap at 2009 Winter Beer Fest. Tastes roasty and robust with a dark chocolate aftertaste. Really wish the cask version was available.

On tap. Pitch black with a medium tan head. This is a fine example of an imperial stout - flavors of roasted malt and chocolate with a very slightly bitter finish. However, the pumpkin is close to undetectable. A very nice imperial stout, but not quite the thing if you’re looking for a pumpkin ale.

Tap at Naked City. Black as night pour with some brown foam that settles to a ring. The nose is full of black malts, roasty, burnt, a hint of sweet, and super light pumpkin spice notes. The flavor is similar to the aroma with lots of roasted malts, black malts, burnt and charred notes. Underlying light sweetness in here, and a hint of pumpkin spice and sweetness, but you have to search. The Imperial Stout base really takes the lead on this one. Really drying mouthfeel and no hint of strong alcohol that this one is said to have.
